Pastor
Generations Pastor
Pastor Terry was raised in Peoples Church from the age of nine, so it truly is his home church. After graduating from Vanguard University in Southern California, where he met and married his wife Lila, he spent eight years as a youth pastor in Bakersfield and Santa Maria.
During those formative years, a passion for Global Outreach was building in his heart. In 1985, Terry and his family relocated to Indonesia as missionaries. They served five years pastoring with an international church in Jakarta, teaching in a ministerial training center and working with church planters across the country.
In 1992, after unexpectedly losing their Indonesian residence visa, they moved to Moscow, Russia, where they planted the International Christian Assembly. Pastor Terry also helped open Moscow Theological Seminary where he was responsible for teaching and mentoring future pastors.
Pastor Terry joined the Peoples Church pastoral team in 1998 and currently provides leadership in pastoral care, our Act Two ministry, and Spanish ministries.
His life vision statement is:
Because the gospel is for everyone, I will live to take it to those who do not have access to it.
This passion to reach beyond just the Peoples Church campus takes him across the United States speaking in Hispanic business conventions, culminating in Sunday gatherings in venues as varied as a casino in Reno to the Atlantic City boardwalk.
