Today was an answer to all of our prayers for many reasons.
Going to Mexico we had always known that our desire was for our family to feel encouraged, loved, and begin following Jesus.
We were all at the same site today. The house was mostly finished and we were working for just a few more hours on the finishing touches. Pastor Morena had accompanied the family to a local church so that we could prepare the lunch for our family.
When the family arrived we were all so excited to get to the house dedication. Each of us got to share something with the family and pray over the house. After the dedication and lunch we were getting ready to leave when the parents of our family shared that they wanted to choose to follow Christ.
We were beyond excited because this is the exact outcome that we had prayed for. We all gathered around to pray for our family as they chose to follow God. This day was truly so beautiful and a wonderful movement of the Holy Spirit.
After this we all said goodbye. It was much more difficult than we anticipated. Lots of our team members had formed friendships not only with the family, but with the foreman, interns, and other locals who helped with the build.
Overall, this trip has shown how God is faithful to keep his promises. His goodness endures forever. We leave knowing that we were able to be part of an eternal change. We are so excited to welcome the Onofre’s to our Faith Family and continue interceding on their behalf.
Thank you for all that you have contributed to this trip. We look forward to bringing what we learned in Mexico back to Fresno.

Today was filled with so much fun and excitement! At the house build we finished putting up dry wall, spackled, textured, painted, and completed the roof. We are so grateful for the progress that was made. Tomorrow we will do the final touches on the building, move in the furniture, and dedicate the home through prayer.
At our final day of VBS, our team had the opportunity to once again love and encourage the kiddos as well as their parents. We were able to distribute copies of the Bible in Spanish and do one last craft.
In the evening, we attended a church service right here in Ensenada. We were able to meet some more of the locals and are happy to say that three people accepted Christ today.
Our final job of the day was to head to the store and buy items to bless our wonderful families. We are so excited to give them all their presents tomorrow and pray over them as well as their brand new home.
Thank you all for your continued support. I invite you to continue praying for us as we believe this family will choose to give their lives to Christ. We look forward to updating you on all the amazing events that take place tomorrow.

Today was amazing! Drywall went into the house and we finished almost all of the roof frame. We have been blessed with great weather and luckily not too many sunburns. The family who we get to the build the house for is wonderful. They have been helping us every step of the way. This family includes a mom, dad, and two young sons, Eliam and Dilan. Dilan has autism and is the reason we are able to run a VBS (Vacation Bible School) with the local Special Needs school. Both boys are so sweet and have been very happy to help us with all the painting.
At the VBS, our team has been able to not only pour into the children, but the parents as well. Many of these parents sacrifice hours to travel by any means necessary to this school as there are very few in Ensenada that provide the same level of care. We are so excited to spend time with all the children, parents, and the two teachers.
We are tired but happy. God is moving here in Ensenada through the faithfulness of His servants. We are so grateful to be a part of all they have already been doing.
Continue to pray for the family to come to Christ and for all the children and parents at the VBS to feel encouraged and loved.

We have officially made it through our first full day here in Mexico. We have two teams working to run a VBS (Vacation Bible School) and build the house. At the VBS, our team has the opportunity to work in partnership with a special needs school. This school provides so many vital and hard to find resources for families raising special needs. And they do it all for free. We were so excited to meet all the kiddos and share the love of Jesus with them.
The house build progressed very quickly. When we arrived this morning there was nothing but a concrete slab. Today we left the beginning of a very beautiful home for our little family. We put together all the framing, cut and painted all the wood, and got every single wall up before we left. The weather was more than we could have possibly asked for. Continue to pray for us as we believe that God will impact every single person we come in contact with.
Tomorrow brings more fun memories with the kids of VBS and a whole lot of roofing at the house build site.

We are so happy to report that our 2023 Mexico team made it safely to Yugo Ministries Campus in Ensenada, Mexico! With this travel behind us, we are so excited and ready to start serving tomorrow morning. We will send out two different groups. One group will work to build a home for a mother and her two young sons. Our other group will run a VBS in partnership with a special needs school. We are praying in belief that the Lord would work through us to impact everlasting change in Mexico. Thank you for all you have already done to support this trip!
